Pandemic flu strain shipped globally.

Dear human immune systems,

I'm not sure how much media coverage this got, but my faith in the competence of civilization has been dealt another serious blow. The WHO has confirmed that the deadly H2N2 flu strain that caused the pandemic Asian Flu in the late 1950's has been accidentally shipped to 3747 labs in 18 different countries. Now before you freak out, our boys at Public Health Agency of Canada figured out that one of the routine test samples was actually this deadly strain. They told the WHO and the other labs, and the samples are being properly destroyed as we speak. Good job guys! Let's here it for the Canadian healthcare system!

The part I'm concerned about is that some fool in the United States made a mistake that could have caused the next flu pandemic. That's not good. These samples shouldn't be lying around in a freezer box somewhere... they should be under lock and key! The part that I'm even more concerned about is that the samples sent to Mexico and Lebanon have not been accounted for. That's REALLY not good. If you want to be hypothetical, if these samples were to fall into the wrong hands, I would consider taking all your sick days off work now.
