You've probably heard that Japan is planning on building the world's tallest tower. On the left is a artist's drawing of the proposed 1980-foot tower in Tokyo. On the right is a photo of the 1815-foot CN Tower in Toronto. Is it just me, or does the new tower kinda look like ours? Do all world towers have to look so incredibly phallic? More importantly, why are there searchlights and zeppelins flying around the Japanese tower? What the hell are they planning?
I'm glad that Tokyo will bear the dubious title of the "most over-compensating city." Though I'm sure the CN Tower will still be viewed as a phallic symbol, we can rest assured that at least we are not as insecure as the citizens of Tokyo.

Of *course* they have to look phallic! They're towers, after all. Though one does worry when one's country's phallus attracts birds, which frequently fly into it... what does *that* say?
I wouldn't worry about it. Godzilla will trash it before the decades' out.
