Google Street View coming to Toronto

Torontoist has reported sightings of the infamous Google Street View car patrolling our fair city this week. This is your chance to be immortalized on Google Street View, a service which lets you see buildings and people when you search for things on Google Maps or Google Earth.

You can check out Google Street View for wholesome things like famous landmarks. Or you can see a street fight accidentally captured by the GSV car. Someone managed to slip in a wedding proposal into Google Street View. Someone else managed to get himself arrested for being a cat burglar. And I can't end this paragraph without mentioning the infamous half-naked sunbathers who made searching for weird things on Google Street View a worth while activity.

So there you have it. The Google Street View car is in the city, and likely to photograph every major street in Toronto in the next few weeks. You have your chance to make a statement like the guy with the wedding proposal. You have your chance to embarrass yourself like the sunbathers. You have your chance to show the world your class like the guy in the street fight. Good luck to all of you!
