Mother Nature wants to kill us all!

You'll hear environmentalists and animal rights groups talking about nature as a fragile and vulnerable thing. "Mother Nature needs our help to preserve the environment and protect it's creatures." "Mother Nature is threatened by the activities of humanity." While I am all for being environmentally responsible, I'd like point that Mother Nature is by no means fragile and vulnerable. Mother Nature is in fact constantly trying to kill us in her relentless drive for survival of the fittest. Mother Nature is your enemy, and a very scary one at that.

Exhibit A:
Massive hurricanes/typhoons that are neither nurturing or friendly.

Exhibit B:
Carnivorous predators that are incapable of compassion or mercy.

Exhibit C:
Precise and indiscriminate acts of destruction, often without warning.

Exhibit D:
Reckless and potentially lethal applications of lava, static electricity, ice, and/or disease.

So next time somebody tells you to help Mother Nature, remind them that you'd really like to help Mother Nature, but right now, you're too busy trying to stay the f*ck out of her way:
